All-party meet fails; Congress firm on ’resign first, debate later’ stand

New Delhi, Aug 03, 2015: Both houses of Parliament witnessed uproarious scenes on Monday as Congress-led Opposition continued to press for resignations of tainted NDA leaders allegedly involved in Laltgate and the Vyapam recruitment scam. Hoping to end the deadlock in Parliament, the ruling BJP today called an all-party meeting, throwing indications that PM Narendra Modi may intervene and make a statement in Parliament over a host of issues, including the ’Laltgate’ controversy and the Vyapam scam.
