Seven people killed as Omni, Tipper collide in Ankola

Ankola, Dec 1, 2015: Seven people were killed on the spot and oneperson was injured when a Omni car in which they were travellingcollided with a Tipper lorry at Belase village in Ankola Taluk,Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka today.
Police said that the victims hailed from Guttal in HaveriDistrict and were returning from Manipal when the Tipper lorrycoming in the opposite direction rammed against the car.
The deceased have been identified as Shahjad Saab (70), Abida (60), Hanumantappa (68), Kallamma (65), Pakeerappa (24), Hanumantappa Badkara (35), and Driver Kuberappa.
The injured was admitted to taluk hospital at Ankola. The Tipper driver has escaped after the mishap.
