T J Jose, IG of Thrissur caught copying in LLM exam

KOCHI, May 04: T J Jose, IG of Thrissur was caught copying from papers torn from the guide during the LLM exam conducted by the M G University. The incident happened at the Kalamassery St Paul’s College. M G University’s LLM exam conducted through distance education was being held for the past three days.

 

The exam held today was for international trade law and law of crime. The invigilator conducted a search after he was found behaving in a suspicious manner. Papers torn from the guide was also recovered from him. He was soon sent out after accepting the answer sheets from him.

The invigilator took the step without knowing Jose’ identity. On examining the register number of the answer sheet, it was known that he was the Thrissur IG. College authorities said that they would recommend the university to debar him.

Meantime, IG Jose said such an incident had not happened and nobody has caught him for copying.  I went out of the hall after writing the exam, he said. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has entrusted north zone ADGP Shanker Reddy to conduct an investigation on the incident and submit a report.
