2 arrested for involvement in KC Road clashes

Mangaluru, Feb 28, 2015:  Police have arrested two persons  in connection with the recent incident of clashes at KC Road near Talapady.

Those arrested are Aslam (28) from Talapady and Shafique (31) of Kinya. Both were said to be involved in the clashes that erupted at KC Road over the issue of putting up buntings for a religious function. Many including police personnel were injured and some vehicles damaged in the stoning incidents.

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 are in place  in Ullal and Konaje police station limits till March 2 and police  have asked all shopkeepers to  close by 6 pm.  Additional police forces have been deployed in sensitive areas like Tokkottu, Derlakatte, Kuttar and Mogaveerapatna.
