AAP activists protest against collection of higher toll at Brahmarakootlu

Bantwal, April 19, 2014 : AAP workers  went on a protest outside the Brahmarakootlu Toll Plaza on April 18, Friday  to strongly condemn the collection of higher toll from the motorists even after a written instructions from the DC to collect the previous toll fee.

 

Shouting slogans denouncing the NHAI and the contractor of the toll plaza, the AAP activists also appealed to the motorists against paying higher toll.

Dakshina Kannada APP candidate M.R.Vasudeva who led the protest said the AAP had to go on protest on coming to know that the DC directive was blatantly violated. He also spoke to the NHAI officials over phone and demanded that the board mentioning the revised fares be removed. It has been gathered that succumbing to pressure, the officials later removed the board and replaced it by the earlier board.
