BJP Mahila Morcha stages protest ; seeks CBI probe into IAS officer Rashmi assault case

Mangalore, Oct 30, 2014: A protest was organised by the Dakshina Kannada district unit of the BJP Mahila Morcha members  in front of the DC office in Mangalore on October 30, Thursday  to pressurise the state government to entrust the IAS officer Rashmi assault case to the CBI.

 

 

Roopa D Bangera, District Mahila Morcha General Secretary who addressed the protestors  said the BJP  strongly condemned the assault and manhandling of the IAS officer and wants the government to bring the culprits to book. Ordering of a CBI probe into the case can ensure justice to the IAS officer, she said.

Shyamala Kunder, State Mahila Morcha Secretary  squarely blamed the Congress government in the state for  failure to  initiate action against the culprits in the case and demanded their immediate arrest.

Asha Jagadish, National Council Member of the Mahila Morcha  demanded security to women IAS officers.

Sumana Sharan, Pulasya Rai and other Mahila Morcha members participated in the protest.
