Mangalore, Oct 31, 2014: The 58th Branch of Bharat Co-operative Bank Ltd was inaugurated at the Exotic Complex at Kankanady on October 31, Friday by Shankeracharya Brahmananda Saraswathi Swamiji of the Kolar branch of Jagadguru Shringeri Mutt.
Jaya C Suvarna, Chairman of the Bank and also that of Rashtriya Billawara Mahamandala and Billawara Association, Mumbai lighted the traditional lamp. Justice Rohini J Salian, Deputy Vice Chairman of the Bank inaugurated the locker and other amenities of the Bank.
In his blessings, Shankeracharya Brahmananda Saraswathi Swamiji wished all success for the new Branch and hoped that the Bank would spread its network throughout Maharashtra and Karnataka in the days to come.
The seer also felicitated the Bank Chairman Jaya Suvarna on his being selected for the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award for the year 2014.
In his address, Jaya Suvarna said the Bank has been able to win the confidence of the customers through its dedicated and sincere service and efficient staff. He also recalled the patronage extended to the Bank by senior Billawa leader and former union minister B Janardhana Poojary. He further stated that the Bank has targeted to reach the 100 branch mark by 2018.
Satish Kumpala, Harikrishna Bantwal, Menala Ashwani Kumar Rai, businessmen M Seetaram, Rohan Monteiro, Kudroli Temple Management Board President HS Sairam, Soorya Prakash, Jayavikram Sorake, PD Shenoy, Bank Directors Bhasker M Salian, Gangadhar J Poojary, Sooryakanth J Suvarna, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer CR Mulki, former director Shanker D Poojary, former general manager Shekar Poojari, General Manager Nityanand D Kotian managers of various branches, Udaya S Salian, Kankanady Branch Manager and others were present.
