Ganja smuggling case in train : Absconding accused arrested

Kasargod, July 24, 2014: The Narcotics Cell of Kasargod has arrested a person who was wanted in a drugs smuggling case in a train and was absconding since some time.
The arrested man K Ratna Kumar of Tiruvananthapuram has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody. Police were searching for him in connection with the case of detection of 3 kg ganja in the Tiruvananthapuram-Mangalore-Maveli Express on June 8, 2013.
The plastic cover in which the ganja was concealed was thrown amid bushes from the train even before it could reach the Kasargod Railway Station. A person named Anas of Attingal has already been arrested in this case.
