New Delhi, Oct 17, 2014 : The Digvijaya Mahotsava of  Srimad Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji, the senior Pontiff of the Kashi Mutt Samsthan of the  GSB community,  was held  with grandeur here on October 12. The celebrations were held as  part of the Chaturmasa of the seer  during Jayanama Samvatsara at the  Saraswatha Sanskriti Sadana here. Devotees from across the nation and globe participated in the celebrations and felt blessed after receiving prasadam from the seer.

 

Bhajan programmes  by Puttur Panduranga Nayak, Shanker Shanbhag and Veena Nayak enthralled the devotees as part of the programme. The Digvijaya Mahotsava procession featured tableaux of Sri Rama Lakshmana-Seetha and Shiva Parvathi. The Huli Vesha team of Dakshina Kannada  too mesmerized people of Delhi.

On this occasion, it was informed that the 90th birthday of the senior pontiff of Kashi Mutt would be celebrated  at Haridwar on April 6, 2015 in the presence of  both the senior and junior seers. It was also informed by GSB Mandal, Thane on this occasion that special trains would be arranged from Mangalore and Mumbai  to Haridwar to facilitate devotees to take part in the programme. More details will be provided at the respective temples later on, it was stated.
