The deceased woman is Rajani (32), an employee of a private home nurse firm in Chervattur. She hailed from Olavara in Trikkaripura. The arrested person is Satish (40) of Neeleshwara Kanichara, the owner of the firm. The body was found wrapped in a plastic sheet and buried  near the lavatory septic tank of the rented house of Satish.

It is learnt, Satish, a married man with two kids, had an affair with Rajani and had developed physical relationship with her with a promise to marry her.

Sources say Rajani who had visited  his office on September 12 had pressurised him to marry her immediately. This led to an altercation when  Satish had reportedly pushed her and strangulated her to death. He had later taken the body in an Omni car and  buried it near his house.

The police team led by DySP Harishchandra Nayak which took up investigation, traced Satish on the basis of his mobile network.

The family of Rajani in its complaint earlier had suspected Satish. Though he was therefore summoned to the station twice, he had  refrained  thus giving room for more doubt.
