Hundreds of women enthusiastically participate in Saree Walk & Run

Mangaluru, September 29, 2019: Hundreds of women of all age groups enthusiastically participated in a Saree Walk& Run organised in the city on September 29, Sunday. The event which commenced from Mahatma Gandhi Park, Mannagudda was inaugurated by Gayatri Nayak, Deputy Commissioner of MCC, Dr Ashajyothi Rai, President of Asare Charitable Trust, actress Tanuja Pawar and Mrs Mangaluru 2017 Sudheeksha Kiran. The main objective of this event was to create an awareness on health and fitness and also to prove that one can exercise even wearing a saree.

The event was organised by Medimade Solutions in association with Vegmanthra, Parivarthan Charitable Trust, Mangalorean.com, KMC Hospitals, LG (Life’s Good) India, Apollo Health Insurance, Vijaya Karnataka Daily, Lions Clubs, Inner Wheel Club, and other organisations.

Lions Club of Mangalore won the Best Club with Large Number of Walkers and Canara Primary School Teachers/staff won Highest Registration in Institution category; AJ Hospital won the prize for highest participants in hospital category.
