Kasargod: Duo arrested for threatening cop at gun point

Kasargod, Aug 01, 2014: A police team led by DySP Ranjith has arrested two persons on the charges of threatening Manjeshwar Sub-Inspector P Pramod by pointing a revolver at him.
Those arrested are Hameed alias Gujiri Hameed (28) and his aide Mohammad Saadique (30) of Bangalore.
The duo had not only obstructed Manjeshwar SI Pramod from doing his duty at Paivalike Bayarikatte on June 27 but had also crashed their car against his jeep and pointed revolved at him before fleeing.
Police said Hameed was wanted in over 25 cases of thefts, threats, murder attempt and looting.
The duo has been produced before the court and taken to police custody for higher interrogation. Meanwhile, police have launched a search for the accomplices of the duo.
