Kundapur, Aug 28, 2015 :  Kundapur police have seized two cows and a calf  which were being transported in a Tata Ace vehicle near Moodlakatte on August 27, Thursday.

Though Mukhtar Ali Saheb from Kavrady who was in the vehicle produced the receipt  towards purchase of cattle from one Appu Sherigar of Neramballi for Rs 73,000, locals  alleged that the person had not secured permission from the panchayat. They even complained that the cattle were being taken to some butchery.

The police have now shifted the cattle to a goshala and have said that the cattle will be released  after Saheb produces the permission letter from the Panchayat.
