Kundapur : Fed up with trouble monger, married woman tries to end life

Kundapur, Jan 24, 2015 : A woman who was allegedly fed up with the torture and harassment of a young man has reportedly attempted suicide by consuming insecticide at Tallur near her on January 23, Friday. The woman who has been hospitalised is presently recovering. The accused has been arrested.

It is said the married woman was living with her five year old child in a rented accommodation in Tallur. Her husband who is a driver occasionally visited his family.

It is said the woman was being subject to harassment by one Sudarshan who even abused her in public. Sources said the woman chose the extreme step after the accused stood in front of her house, pelted stones at the house and even abused her. Fearing her honour the woman consumed insecticide. Her husband who rushed home on gathering information, gave her first aid and took her to the hospital. Investigations are underway.
