MITE signs a MoU with Automotive Leader KPIT

Moodabidri, Jul 11, 2018 : Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodabidri has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Leader of Automotive Domain, Indian based Multinational corporation KPIT Technologies Ltd. The signing of MoU happened on July 5that the KPIT Bangalore office with Mr. Rajesh Chouta, Chairman, MITE and Mr. K N S Acharya, Vice President – Global Head – Education and Competency Development, KPIT, signing the MoU documents.

MITE, which has been a pioneer in providing quality Technical Industry oriented Engineering Education, and has made a mark in the Engineering education and also has been providing the students the employment opportunities with Major Global corporations. To accomplish this, MITE has previously tied up with Global Majors like SIEMENS, Bosch Rexroth, Carl Zeiss, Infosys; And now with the MoU with KPIT, the opportunities for Industry oriented training has increased multifold. As per the MoU, Final Year Engineering Students of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering will have Four months of practical Industry training at KPIT Campus on Automotive, Electronics Design and Development. Post the training, the students will not just be certified by KPIT, but also provide core engineering job opportunities for students excelling in the training. Also, as part of the MoU MITE Faculty will also be provided Training on niche and latest technologies at KPIT Campus by Domain experts, to enable practical oriented education to the students.


MITE selection as Partner College

KPIT, every year  conducts Annual National  Design and Project competition ‘SPARKLE’ for the engineering College Students, in which Students of IIT, NIT and all prestigious students participate and exhibit their innovative projects. Every year, a theme is announced, on which students are required to design and develop innovative solutions, projects. The shortlisted students will exhibit their projects to the Panelists, who are Domain experts picked across the Globe.  Project Teams from MITE has been successively shortlisted for the final rounds in all the previous years. Also, in 2017, One Project Team won the Platinum Award with the cash prize of Rs. 10 Lakhs for the best project. Considering this consistent performance from the students of MITE, KPIT has selected MITE as one of the Partner college. Only 20 Colleges across the country are selected as Partner college by KPIT, and MITE is proud to be selected as one amongst them. MITE has been providing Best Technological aided trainings through the SIEMENS Centre of Excellence, the only Centre by SIEMENS in the state of Karnataka, set up at a cost of US$ 79 Million.
