Mangaluru Dasara celebrations at Kudroli Gokarnanatha Shrine inaugurated

Mangaluru, Sep 21,2017 : Mangaluru Dasara celebration  of Shree Gokarnanatha Temple at Kudroli  was inaugurated on September 21, Thursday by City Police Commissioner T R Suresh by lighting the traditional lamp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mayor Kavitha Sanil, ACP Uday Nayak, Temple Management Committee President H S Sairam,  Malathi Janardhana Poojary, Temple Committee Members and many others were present.  A  team of Huli Veshadharis  who were present at the  Shree Gokarnanatha  Kalyana Mantap of the shrine, danced to the rythmic beats of the drums as the  idols were installed.

 

Speaking to media men later, Police Commissioner Suresh said the  Department has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure that the festival was celebrated in a peaceful manner. He also wished a Happy Navaratri to the people of the district.
