Mangaluru, Jan 5, 2016: The increase in the price of Nandini milk by Rs. 4 will come into effect on Tuesday. While toned milk (blue colour packet) will be sold at Rs. 34 per litre, homogenised milk (green colour packet) will be sold at Rs. 38 per litre.
According to a press release by the Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers Union here on Monday, Shubham and Samruddhi brand milk will be sold at Rs. 40 and Rs. 42 per litre, respectively. Curds, 200 grams, will continue to be sold at Rs. 10, and it will cost Rs. 19 for 415 grams.
Union managing director B.V. Satyanarayana said that the union decided to cut down from the proposed Rs. 4-increase for a litre of curd to Rs. 2 only.
And, one litre of curd will be sold at Rs. 41.
Mr. Satyanarayana said that the old rates will continue to appear on the milk/curd packets for about 15 days when the new ones with the revised price will come.
