Nation must move forward on foundation of knowledge : Dr K. Kasturirangan

Mangaluru, Dec 04, 2019:  The country must move forward on the foundation  of knowledge, said Dr K. Kasturirangan, former chairman, ISRO and Chairman of  Committee of Drafting National Education Policy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He was  delivering an Endowment Lecture on “Forays into Space and Beyond”  at  the Fr L F Rasquinha Auditorium of St Aloysius College on December 4, Wednesday.

Dr Kasturirangan further said  the  Committee of Drafting  Education Policy has already  forwarded the  opinion of over 200 people on the issue to the government.

Pointing out that modern world  throws out more challenges while also giving rise to more  expectations, he said in  such a scenario there should be no doubt or hesitation. The younger generation has the responsibility  of taking the society forward on the  foundation of knowledge, Dr Kasturirangan said and exhorted students not to shy away from responsibilities.

Rev. Fr Dionysius Vaz, SJ, Rector of St. Aloysius Institutions  presided over the  function. Rev Dr Praveen Martis, Principal and others were present.
