One more arrested in Chilimbi Shailesh family’s "Suicide" case

Mangalore, Aug 22, 2014: It may be recalled ’mangalore today’ had reported the recovery of bodies of 3 members of a family was found  in their flat at Chilimbi on August 14 by police.  The death of Shailesh, owner of Akshaya Finance, his wife, Savitha and ten-­year-­old daughter Vidhyalaxmi, at the family’s home at Phalguni Apartment at Urwa Chilimbi in the city, now the police have arrested another accused.

Uday (29) of Hoigebail was arrested by Urwa police on August 21. After he was produced in the court, Uday was remanded to judicial custody. One of the accused, Anil, had surrendered to the court.

 Shailesh had left a four-­page suicide note in which Uday, Harish and Anil were named as being responsible for the extreme act. The note had stated harassment from these persons and the fear of his reputation getting sullied was forcing him to take the drastic step. The finance concern Shailesh was running was on a losses, it is said.

The police registered a cases against Uday, Rajesh and Anil under Indian Penal Code section 306 relating to abutment to suicide.  Uday was taken into custody at a railway station on receipt of information, it is said.
