Mangaluru, Nov 28, 2015 : In a shocking case reported from Suratkal, a postman serving the post office near Suratkal has been suispended on the charges of utter derelicition of duty by not delivering the postal letters since the past five years and instead dumping them in his house.
Though the Department officials say he has been accused of not delivering posts since the past three years, it has been gathered that the postal letters found dumped in his house dated as early as 2010.
Officials said more information about this case would be out once the departmental probe is complee. They also stated that the accused post man Ashok has been suspended from service until then.
It has been alleged that the accused post man named Ashok who deliverd only registered letters and money orders, used to dump the rest in gunny bags in his house. Sources say the undelivered posts found in his rented house included interview letters and appointment letters of many.
The undelivered posts came to light only when the land lord of the rented house broke open the doors as Ashok had not even paid the rent since some time.
On coming to know about this incident, several members of the public have been visiting the post office since the past couple of days to express their resentment.
Daring postman , unaware of further consequences. When we do something wrong we will get caught one day or the other and his is a good example
Though some postmasters are prompt in service because of people like Ashok all have take hear. When you are appointed with some duty you should consider it as a gift from God. One hardly gets Government post whatever its our ability that promotes us to a higher post. But Ashok will repent for his mistake.
Shame on that person being an Government employee he cannot behave so irresponsibility. Thai is why people have stopped using postal service because when such people are in service how can we expect a post to be delivered?
