Puttur: New born found abandoned at Kabaka ; admitted to Wenlock

Mangaluru, Dec 17, 2014: A new born baby girl was found abandoned on the roadside at Kabaka in Puttur on December 17, Wednesday morning. The baby’s cries were first heard by a local woman named Girija who spotted it nearby.
The woman’s son later informed one of his friends who worked in the Health Department office in Belthangady. The infant has now been admitted to the Wenlock Hospital where it has been put on ventilator support at the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit.
The baby weighs 2.3 kg and the doctors who examined it said it was just two days old. There were wound marks on its neck and a hand of the baby was also found fractured.
