Mangaluru, Dec 16, 2014 : Rev. Mohan Manoraj from Mysore is the new Bishop of Karnataka South Diocese of Church of India (CSI). Dr. G Dyvasirvadam, CSI moderator led the Episcopal consecration and installation ceremony held at CSI Shanthi Cathedral at Balmatta in the city on December 15, Monday. Rev. Mohan Manoraj succeeded Bishop Emeritus J.S. Sadananda who retired recently.
Earlier, Rev. Mohan Manoraj was taken in a procession to the church. Several bishops and officers of CSI took part in the procession which was followed by the oath taking ceremony.
Speaking after taking charge, Bishop Rev. Mohan Devaraj assured to work for the welfare of the society with the active co-operation of the people. He also stated that Bishop’s duty is to serve the people and have their interests upper most in mind.
