The fisheries road, house of Nadipatna Harish Puthran is facing the danger of being washed away due to sea erosion.

The locals alleged that they had drawn the issue of sea erosion to the notice of officials. But, no steps like dumping boulders were taken to check the problem.

The building of Maheshwari Fund is also facing a threat. Fishermen are afraid that the fishing equipment and nets that are kept in the building will be lost.

The sea erosion has intensified at Padubidri beach, Kaup beach and Mulooru. The waves are lashing the retaining walls. All the boulders dumped to check sea erosion were washed away at Yermal.

Meanwhile, the rain which lashed Udupi and Dakshina Kannada for the past two days receded on Sunday.
