Mangaluru, Nov 26, 2014: DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has informed that a Rs 50 lakh grant has been sanctioned by the state government for the Vishwa Tuluvere Parba slated to be held in the city for three days beginning from December 12.
Presiding over a preparatory meet held here on November 25, Tuesday, Rai informed that CM Siddaramaiah may participate in the valedictory of the Parba to be held on December 14.
On this occasion, the Minister directed the Health division officials of the Mangalore City Corporation to ensure necessary steps to maintain cleanliness in the event venue.
Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim who was also present directed the Mujrai officials to request all temples to offer rice for the mass feeding during the festival.
A member of the Tuluvere Parba Organising Committee informed that Rs 100 coupons have been printed and requested all Tulu lovers to purchase it and help in the successful conduct of the festival which will require an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 crores.
Tulasi Maddineni, ZP CEO, Ivan D’Souza, MLC and other officials and organising committee members were present.
