Mangaluru July 2, 2016: Talent Research Foundation (TRF) organized Ifthar koota with Journalist at Vishwas Crown building at Kankanady yesterday June 1, Friday.

Speaking on the occasion Alvas Education Foundation Chairman Dr Mohan Alva said that, Ramzan is the holy month for the whole Muslim religion and it is necessary to live in unity, peace and harmony. People need to respect their concerned religion before they criticize.

 

He also said that, as it is a holy month for Muslims they restrict themselves from their desires such as entertainments, parties or so and spend whole month with prayers and fasting.

President of Konkani Sahitya Acedamy Roy Castelino said that, we gathered during an auspicious day, as whole nation is celebrating Journalism Day as well as Doctors day. TRF has taken up initiative of helping the poor even since which is appreciable.

Manager of Shanthi Prakashan briefly explained the importance of Ramazan as it a holy month, a month where god is loved by his disciple. It is a sheer dedication by the Muslim community to involve themselves in 14 hours of fasting.

He also said that, there are no snaps of prophet Mohammed, no mosques or roads are named after him, but still he is in the heart of the people and following his preachings.

Founder and President of TRF Abdul Rauf Puttige suggests Dr Mohan Alva’s name in should be recommended to Padmashree Award for his service and dedication in the field of education from past several years.
