Mangaluru, Oct 13, 2015 : Christopher D’Souza, a Konkani theatre artiste and director who has graduated from Neenasam will be receiving the coveted 11th Kalakar Puraskar of Mandd Sobhann at a ceremony to be held at Kalangann on November 1 at 6 pm.
Christopher, a young talent in the field of theatre also trains aspiring artistes and even directs plays for Kalakul.
The Award sponsored by Carvalho Ghorannem carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and a trophy. The Award is given annually to a distinguished artiste of Karnataka organ in the field of Konkani performing arts, music, theatre and folk arts.
The 167th monthly theatrical programme ’Sur-Tall-Mell-Sumell’ by Mandd Sobhann’s singing club ’Sumell’will be held following the award presentation ceremony.
