Puttur, Feb 13, 2016 : In an instance that transcends all barriers of caste, creed, faith and religion, Fathimath Rahila, a IX standard student of the Sarvodaya High School in Sulliapadavu has made everyone proud by standing first in the whole of the state in the examination on Ramayana Subject conducted by the Bharath Sanskriti Pratishtan in November 2015. She scored 93 % marks to top the tally.
The school has been conducting the exams since 40 years and it is voluntary for the students to appear for the exam. As a resource material the students are provided Kishor Bharat and Kishor Ramayana books.
Rahila says it was her paternal uncle’s encouragement that made her decide to appear for the exam. She now has plans to undertake a course on Mahabharatha. She says her father, a factory worker and her mother supported her when she told them about her plans to appear for the Ramayana examination.
Rahila’s uncle Mohammad Badagannur is proud of her achievement and says such efforts would help to know another religion and its essence.
Ramila is a meritorious student who has scored good marks in other subjects apart from her Madarasa subjects.
Well done Rahila. Our country is multi religious. Being a citizen of India if everyone builds up his attitude our country will be on the top. We wish you the best for your next target.
