Udupi, July 3,2017: Udupi Railway Station  of the Konkan Railway has gone cashless. No more worries for passengers who do not have cash in hand, but have debit, credit cards. Right from the ticket booking counter, even the vegetarian restaurant, tea stall, parking  spot,  pre-paid auto stand, book stall and the general stores here have  Swipe Machines. People can even pay through Paytm mobile app.

Though the station had cashless  ticket  booking facility already, now all outlets going cashless will greatly benefit passengers as well as the   general public. Cashless facility will start in the general ticket  counter   very soon, said S Vinay Kumar, Mangaluru Zonal Officer of Konkan Railway.
