Mangaluru, Sep 19, 2020: Wenlock-Bunder Urban Primary Health Centre that has been built at Bunder at a cost of Rs 45 lakhs was inaugurated on September 18, Friday by Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath.
Speaking on the occasion, he said this urban primary health centre would cater to the medical needs of people of seven wards including Dongarakeri, Kodialbail, Kambala, Central, Bunder, Port and Court wards.
The MLA also said the officials have been directed to submit a new proposal for a separate urban health centre for Dongarakeri, Kodialbail and Kambala wards.
The new building has a dispensary, laboratory, medicine room, doctors’ chambers, injection and dressing rooms.
Mayor Diwaker Pandeshwar, MCC Standing Committee Chairperson Poornima, local Corporator Rameeza Banu, District Health Officer Dr Ramachandra Bairi, Dr Rajesh and others were present.
