Mangaluru, May 26, 2015 : State Minister for Health and Family has once again played Good Samaritan to a family from Ullal which lost one of its members who was on a North India pilgrimage. When Sumana Pai (60) from Ullal who was part of a team which was on a pilgrim tour to Haridwar and other places of North India developed health complications and passed away before she was rushed to Gangaram Hospital in New Delhi on May 24, her family back in Ullal was at a loss and had contacted the Health Minister seeking his assistance in getting the mortal remains back to hometown.
Known for his helpful nature on several previous occasions, despite his tight schedule owing to the cabinet meeting, Khader made time to inform his contacts in Delhi and arrange for the post-mortem and also to complete all formalities to ensure that the body reached hometown within two days.
