Mangaluru, February 5, 2018: Yenepoya University’s Mission Angel Dust and Rotary Club Mangaluru Hillside jointly organized an Anti-Narcotics campaign at Panambur beach on Saturday, 3rd February. The large Saturday evening crowd at the beach got to see a variety of programs on the theme of anti drugs.
Coast Guard DIG Karnataka, S. S. Dasila inaugurated the programme. In his inauguration address, DIG Dasila advised the youth to stay away from all kinds of drugs which are targeting the youth of the country. He exhorted the girl students to be independent and distinguish themselves.
Students from Yenepoya Medical College, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, and Nursing colleges presented flash mob, street play, mime and the Yenepoya Band enthralled the audience with a variety of songs. Rotarian Umakanth and Principal Yenepoya Pharmacy College also sang songs at the event.
Rotary Club Hillside President Satish BK, Mission Angel Dust CEO & Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Registrar Dr. G. Shreekumar Menon, NSS Coordinator Ashwini Shetty, Rotarians Kiran Rao, Chetan Mallya, Umakanth, Ranganath Kini, Srinivas Kini, Dinesh Mallya, and Deepa Rao were present on the occasion.
