Mangalore, Jan17,2013: Top political leaders and officials were in Mangalore on January 16, Wednesday to attend the wedding of Oshan, the son of Rajya Sabha Member and former union minister Oscar Fernandes at Milagres Church followed by a reception at Ladies Club at Light House Hill in the evening.
Oshan, a marketing executive in New Delhi tied the knot to Frazil, a CA student from Udyavar, Udupi.
Among the dignitaries who attended included Governor HR Bharadwaj, Union Ministers M Veerappa Moily, KH Muniappa, Mallikarjun Kharge, KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, Maharashtra Chief minister Prithviraj Chauhan, Kerala Congress President Ramesh Chennittala, former chief minister Dharam Singh, Maharashtra Minister Suresh Shetty and former union minister Jagadish Tytler.
Local Congress leaders including DCC Chief B Ramanatha Rai, Udupi Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde and former union minister Janardhan Poojari also attended the wedding and wished the couple.
Mangalore Bishop Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza and Bangalore Archbishop Rev Bernard Moras blessed the couple.
