‘Kshema Jyothi’ to open October 18

Mangalore, Oct 18, 2014:  ‘Kshema Jyothi’ psychiatry day care centre will be opened at KSHEMA Campus in Deralakatte, to provide mental health care service to patients. The centre will facilitate the needy with occupational therapy and supported employment.

KSHEMA Professor Dr Sathish Rao said the centre will be opened by Minister for Health and Family Welfare U TKhader on October 18 at 10 am. Nitte University Chancellor N Vinaya Hegde will preside. The day care centre will accommodate 40 persons (20 male and 20 female) and will operate between 9 am to 4 pm. The centre is not for the patients already under treatment, but for those who want to take up work later. Two months training will be given to needy.
