Advanced research centres of Yenepoya University to be inaugurated by Governor

July 29, 2016: Dr G Shreekumar Menon, registrar of YU told media that YU Yenepoya University is on the threshold of dedicating state-of-the-art teaching facilities and advanced research centres for use by general public this July 30, Saturday.  Governor, Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, will inaugurate the facilities at Deralakatte. Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor of the university will preside. Facilities include advanced comprehensive clinical training and simulation centre, and YU-IOB Centre for Systems Biology and Molecular Medicine.

The above projects are the result of challenges taken on by the university in training young students become dynamic leaders, who will take the institution to the forefront. One of the initiatives that is being planned as part of this effort is to take forward several new infrastructural projects. The various projects envisioned under the leadership of the Chancellor is reaching its fruition.

ACTS-YEN, Advanced Comprehensive Clinical Training and Simulation Centre. is a unique centre and the largest state-of-the-art simulation centre in India with the current vision simulators. The centre conceptualized in 2015 has an anatomage table, high fidelity simulators, virtual reality simulators. Integrating simulation in graduate and post-graduate curriculum should facilitate more ethical training with least harm and discomfort to patients, the registrar averred.
