Applications invited for awards - World Disabled Day

Mangalore, Sep 12, 2014 : Applications are invited from non-government organisations and individuals towards the state level award, to be awarded on the occasion of World Disabled Day, to be observed on December 3, according to a press release.

The organisations/individuals striving for the welfare of the disabled, are eligible to apply for the award. The teachers striving from more than 15 years in the schools for the specially able, established by private or government, may also apply.

Eight organisations with a remarkable achievement, two organisations with the best service and 15 individuals who have rendered best service in the field will be presented the award. Also, five awards will be presented to the teachers serving in special schools for more than 15 years.  Application formats are available on the website (http://www.welfareofdisabled.kar.nic.in). Interested may also visit the specially abled and senior citizen welfare department, Zilla Panchayat building, Kottara, Mangalore. The filled applications should be submitted before October 1.
