Mangaluru, Feb 24, 2015 : Press note states,  Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy, in association with Beary Sahitya and Samskrithika Balaga, Pavoor, organised Beary folk sports fest for Primary and High School students in Pavoor on Feb 22, Sunday.

Lagori, Kambata, Donkata, Baccha, Jubuli, kallata, bassata, kage-gili, kutti-donne, paper ball cricket were spme of the events. Paper ball and stones were used for Lagori game and cashew nuts were used for Bacchata.

Gram Panchayat President Beefathima and guests inaugurated the sports fest by dragging children who sat on coconut sheaths, at Pavoor ground. The day created an enthusiasm for local sports amongin the young.
