Mangaluru, May 17, 2015: Protesting wide failure of administration in MCC - Mangalore City Corporation, CPM will stage protest in front of MCC on May 22 at 10 am.

Panjimogaru Corporator Dayanand Shetty said the administration, in the hands of Congress, has collapsed. The ruling Congress is dumping the blame on the Commissioner for failure of  the administration.  He said problems galore in all 60 wards and woes of public are at a peak. MCC has failed to take up work on removing silts in the drains as preparation for monsoon.

Corporator Shetty went on to state, workers have not been deputed to corporators to ensure work is taken up before onset of monsoon. If silt is not removed, threats of floods in several wards can be expected. Work on town hall is incomplete for last several months and funds released by State government is not being utilised effectively.  Alleging that labourers of Antony Waste Handling Pvt Ltd has failed to collect garbage from interior places. Stating that solid waste cess has been hiked and collected according to sq ft of households, he termed it unscientific way of hiking cess.
