Career Guidence Centre now in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Aug 2, 2015 :   It may be noted that  Institutional Excellence Forum (IEF), a Noida-based non-profit organisation, has opened its Career Excellence Centre in Mangaluru’s Yenepoya School. This is the first centre in south India of the forum, which has opened such centres in 15 cities in Uttar Pradesh and Assam.

Launching the centre in Mangaluru, Amit Garg, managing trustee of IEF, said they were trying to help students decide about careers through these centres.  Psychiatric assessment test to meet the needs of students of each region are available. A library to  bring in vast amount of resources is also set up.

Co-founder of PayMate, Probir Roy, who is also a managing trustee of IEF, said through the centres the forum was trying to create awareness among students in secondary schools of various career opportunities available outside Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

The forum had mapped at least 750 skills of vocations that students could pursue and the forum would help the student choose the career of their choice. A memorandum of understanding was signed between IEF and Yenepoya University for opening the centre in Mangaluru. It was signed by Manab Misra, secretary of IEF, and Y. Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor of Yenepoya University. The centre in Mangaluru will work with students and teachers from 20 educational institutions, said Mohan Tiwari, co-founder of Students Destination, who is also associated with IEF.
