Cong leader late Somappa Kunder family distributes free books, financial aid to needy students

Mangaluru, May 20, 2015:  Free books and  financial aid  were distributed to about 150 students belonging to economically backward families at a function held at Kanthi Church Hall  on May 20, Wednesday in memory of Late BG Somappa Kunder, former president of South Block Congress.

Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Mangaluru South MLA JR Lobo  recalled the social service initiatives of late Somappa and hoped it would serve as an inspiration to all. He also appreciated the  kind gesture of the family of Somappa in helping needy children every year.

Mayor Jacintha Vijay Alfred, Corporators , Rathikala, Kavitha Vasu and several other Congress leaders including TK Sudhir, Satish Kunder,Jayakar Samarth, Namitha D Rao and others were present.
