Congress set for ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ August at Udupi

Mangalore Today News Network

Udupi, June 28, 2016: Addressing media at Udupi on June 27, Monday,  C.M. Dhananjaya, chairman of the Legal and Human Rights Cell of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, said that the cell would organise a ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ of the Siddaramaiah government here in the third week of August.

Dhananjaya said that the Siddaramaiah government had launched welfare measures for the sake of the downtrodden. The ‘samavesha’ was being held to mark the achievements of the government.

At least  5,000 party workers would attend the convention. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and national-level leaders including senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi, and State-level leaders of the Congress would attend the convention. Though the Bharatiya Janata Party was making claims that it would make Karnataka a “Congress-free State,” this would only remain a daydream. Instead, the opposite was likely to happen, he said. The convention would also be held in four other divisional headquarters,  Dhananjaya said.
