Development workshop for patriotism on July 26

Mangalore, July 24, 2014:   Addressing a press meet July 23, Sachitha Nandagopal stated, DK district Ex-servicemen’s Association in association with Lions Club International district 317 Dand Centre for Integrated Learning will organise an inter-school workshop on patriotism and national pride to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas at Lions Seva Mandir on July 26.

He said the programme would be an opportunity for the students of high schools to connect with roles and responsibilities towards nation building through activities that include audio-visual presentations, group discussions, talks and patriotic quiz. Air Vice Marshal (retd) Ramesh Karnik, Harish Kumar, M C Badraiah and Bhagwan Shetty will be honoured on the occasion. The workshop will be inaugurated by Lions International District Governor H S Manjunathamurthy. ZP CEO Tulasi Maddineni will preside.  An audio-visual presentation of Kargil war will be held at War Memorial in Kadri at 6 pm followed by paying homage to the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the country.
