Mangaluru, July 3, 2015: The ambitious plans of the Centre will be show cased  in   "Digital India," a Digital India week is being observed till July 7, 2015, DK DC Adoor B Ibrahim said to create awareness on e-governance, programmes are being organised at taluk and district level.

Awareness will be created on digital services available at gram panchayats and Atalji Janasnehi Kendra. The Department of Information & Technology of Centre has organised online quiz for students of 6th to 12th standard under "Digital wellness online challenge." For participation, students can log in http://quiz.digitalindia.gov.in

A release from Udupi Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar said awareness will be created on digital locker at Deputy Commissioner’s office. The Education Department organised essay writing competition and quiz for schools and colleges A workshop on government schemes was held at Udupi Girls Government PU College.

Experts delivered talk on Sakaala and Atalji Janasnehi Kendra. A movie on Digital India will be screened at Bannanje Backward Classes hostel on July 4.

Awareness will also be created on Suraksha App among students and general public. A workshop on science and technology will be held at Udupi central library on July 5. A quiz on e-governance will be held at Bannanje hostel on the same day. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will take part in live webcasting on July 6.
