District ex-servicemen’s association to observe Vijay Diwas on Dec 16

Mangaluru, Dec 14, 2014: The Dakshina Kannada District Ex-Servicemen’s Association jointly with Lions District 317-D and Sri Bhoothanatheshwar Temple Trust will commemorate ’Vijay Diwas’ here on December 16.

Vijay Diwas commemorates India’s win over Pakistan in the war that saw birth of Bangladesh on December 16, 1971.There will also be a public function at Kadri Park later in the day to felicitate and honour three armed forces veterans from Dakshina Kannada district.
