Forum to decide on November 1 re reinstatement

Udupi, Oct 20, 2014: The Udupi Public Forum will decide over future of action on November 1, if the government fails to reinstate the suspended Udupi blood bank officer Dr Sharath Kumar, by revoking his suspension order.

Speaking at the protest rally, Psychiatrist Dr P V Bhandari said that the Fourm has decided to give some more time to the government to decide on revoking of the suspension order of Dr Sharath Kumar. He demanded that the government should also immediately place the health secretary Shivashailam under suspension for treating Sharath inhumanly. It is sheer violation of human and fundamental rights.

The suspended officer is not receiving salary and he is finding it hard for livelihood. He added that Dr Sharath had put up a request to the health department secretary over the pending salary issue without any response.
