Mangaluru, April 1, 2015:  All those who have failed to link their LPG connection to Aadhaar number or bank account, y will not get the benefit of subsidy from April 1, Food and Civil Supplies Deputy Director Sharanabasappa said.    LPG consumers, who have linked their connections to Aadhaar cards or bank accounts will have to purchase gas cylinders at market prices.

The difference between market price and subsidised rate will be transferred to their bank accounts via linking of Aadhaar number to LPG consumer number and bank account or directly to account without Aadhaar seeding.

March 31 was last date to link LPG with Aadhaar or bank account. The linking of Aadhaar or bank account started in January for Direct Benefit Transfer. Those who do not join the scheme after three-month grace period (March 31) are eligible for additional subsidy parking period of another three months during which they will get cylinders at market price and subsidy credited to their bank account.

After this parking period, amount will lapse if the consumers fail to enrol under the scheme and will have to purchase LPG gas at market determined price.
