Mangaluru port takes on export of J K Tyres

Mangaluru, Juine 25, 2016: It is reported that  Mysuru-based J.K. Tyres  is now set to export it’s  tyres through New Mangalore Port, the port is said to have witnessed a landmark achievement on account of the aggressive business promotion drive initiated by the administration.

A news release from the Port Trust here said after protracted business initiatives and liason with the top management of J.K. Tyres, the port was successful in convincing the company to commence its operation and commit their exports through NMPT. As a result, the first consignment of trial shipment of 40’ High Cube container was exported from Mangaluru.

The container was factory stuffed at Mysuru and shipped on vessel M.V.TIGER GOMAN on June 18 to Manzanillo Mexico. J.K. Tyres has promised the port to increase its volume of shipments through and transport radial tyres in bulk for stuffing inside the port, thereby enjoying the cost advantage.
