Manipal Univ inks pact for Ayurveda scholarship

Manipal, Aug 21, 2014: Manipal University has signed a scholarship partner agreement with Aatreya Education Systems Private Limited on August 18.

Under the agreement, students selected for Post Graduate Certificate Course in Panchakarma (PGCPK) will be granted the scholarship. Registrar Dr GK Prabhu signed the agreement on behalf of the University and the Director, Dr Satyajith Kadkol was the signatory for Aatreya Education Systems.

Aatreya Education Systems will screen students to identify them for the scholarship through an online scholarship eligibility and Ayurveda Test (SEAT), open to all BAMS graduates.  The company has allocated three lakh rupees under its scholarship scheme for Manipal University Ayurveda Courses.

Every academic year, 10 students will be eligible for the scholarship. This agreement will be in force from the next academic year, March 2015.  Manipal University Head of the Department of Ayurveda Dr M S Kamath initiated the agreement.
