Police arrested interstate vehicle lifting duo

Kasargod, Apr 16, 2015: In a major operation Kasargod district police has arrested two suspected interstate vehicle lifters and recovered two cars from them.

The arrested are identified as Kasargod Padanna resident Noor Mohammed(35) and Kannur Irikkoori resident Sujay (31), Kasaragod SP Dr.Srinivsanm informed.

Investigations have revealed that the arrested persons have stolen more than hundred vehicles from Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh. The police are now searching for more people involved in this vehicle lifting racket.

Police have recovered an Indica car stolen from Bengaluru from them. While patrolling on national highways in the city suburbs near Kallangai police asked to stop a Indica Car. But, they sped away paving way for suspicion.  The police alerted others and able to intercept them Karandakkad in the Kasargod – Mangaluru highway.
 
When the police questioned two people in the car, they gave vague answers. They were taken to the police station and interrogated further where they spilled the beans. Rs 60,000 was also recovered from them which was in the car.

Police have found that Payyanur, Chendera, Kannur,Tamilnadu and Bengaluru police have been registered cases against Noor Mohammed.  Police are investigating case.
