Police arrests two vehicle lifters

Mangaluru, Nov 12, 2014: According to reliable news reports it is stated that the Mangalore City Police have arrested two persons and seized four two-wheelers stolen by them on Nov 11, Tuesday.

The arrested are Avil Crasta, 19, from Kudupu and Vivian Quadros, 19, from Kavoor. They were apprehended on suspicion while going on a stolen vehicle at Vamajoor Check Post during routine check.

The police later took into possession three two wheelers which were stolen and kept at Pilikumeri Gudde, Neermarga. Of the four thefts, two were registered in Kavoor police station limits, one at Mangalore rural and another at Mangalore South police station. The police had swung into action after a scooter was stolen at Vidyanagara, Bondel on October 28. One of the stolen scooters did not have registration number and police are verifying it through the chassis number with the RTO.
