udupi, Oct 30, 2014: The NMAM Institute of Technology (NMAMIT) would organise a three-day intercollegiate national-level technical fest titled ‘Technidarshan – 2014’ at Nitte in Udupi district from November 1 to 3.

In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal of the institute, said this fest would provide a platform for technical students to equip themselves to face the challenges in the field of technical education. More than 2,000 technical students from various parts of the country are expected to take part in the fest.

There will be workshops and seminars on various topics related to technical education. Competitions in more than 50 technical events including ‘Circuit Saga’, ‘Burn and Run’, ‘Twistease’, ‘Justified’, ‘Surya Sparsham’, ‘Tech Roadies’, ‘PCB and Bridge Design’, ‘Laborious’, ‘Adrenaline Rush’ will be held.

The winners can take home a total cash prize of more than Rs. 5 lakh.

Entertainment programme by ‘Lagori’ team from Bangalore will be an added attraction on the second day of the fest. Sudhindra Haldodderi, Head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Alliance University, Bangalore, will inaugurate Technidarshan and Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations on the Nitte campus on November 1.

A book consisting of 100 Sanskrit ‘subhashitha’ translated into Kannada, Hindi and English would be released on the occasion, the release added.
